ItвЂ™s still going strong-i have been through 2 or 3 low-end fellowes shredders, and they suck. Edit: i have now owned this for 7 years, and i absolutely love it. Take care of it, donвЂ™t overload it and it will last a long time. Avoid the ones on sale вЂ“ just remember, you get what you pay for. This is the third shredder iвЂ™ve owned and it is well worth the extra money. Destroyed about two baskets of paper in one sitting, without overheating, never putting more than two sheets in at a time, letting each group of paper complete itвЂ™s shred. Have used this shredder for several months. The fellowes вЂњtriesвЂќ to limit the amount of paper in before it tries, thus it doesnвЂ™t take nearly as much paper as the royal. If you put too much paper in, the motor slows down, then reverses and you just remove some and start over. Even though it says it can take more paper than this mx150, it can handle about 1/2 or 1/3 less paper than the royal mx150 from my experience. I should have just purchased another royal рџ™Ѓ the fellowes is more expensive and claims to take 17 sheets. I recently purchased a fellowes 99ci mainly because the reviews were better than this royal mx150. IвЂ™ve had one of these for over 5 years with no trouble. I still use it since the day i bought it. (itвЂ™s a little smaller than a вЂњkitchenвЂќ trash can) itвЂ™s heavy but on wheels so itвЂ™s easy to move. Its stable, solid, perhaps a little larger than i thought but frankly i consider that a plus. ItвЂ™s a very solid design, easy to read display, pull out drawer for the waste, etc. My last shredder destroyed itself under my fairly modest load (daily, but not mounds of paper) the 150mx works they way i expected. (last point) prior to this machine, we had a fellow machine and it constantly got jammed.ДЇinally a shredder that works like it should. I hope i donвЂ™t run into the problems that some of the reviewers have, but for now. I am so impressed with this machine, i bought another one for my home shredding. We shred tons of paper every month along with cdвЂ™s and occasionally credit cards. However,as for my dental office, we use this machine every day with no problems. I bought based on the outstanding reviews of the shredder and agree with them. The 3/4 hp moter and all steel gears make a difference.ДЄmazon and j&r music & computer world. Just received this shredder after old one вЂњdied. The price seems very reasonable too (costco), and i had it delivered it to my door. Having the unit on casters is nice too, since it is a fairly heavy unit. I love the large wastebasket, it seems to take forever to fill it up.Also, i like the way the basket removes from the main body, so itвЂ™s easy to empty. After giving up on my old fellowes 400c (realizing i was long overdue for a shredder upgrade), i researched online and decided that the royal 150mx would be a good choice.
